Podium finish in Boone County Raceway season opener

In familiar territory on Thursday evening, Devyn Peterson was one of 20 IMCA Northern Sportmod entries at US 30 Speedway (Columbus, Neb.).

Charging from fifth-to-first in his heat race, Peterson started ninth in the A-Main and came away with an eighth-place outing. The following night at Boone County Raceway (Albion, Neb.), Devyn picked up another heat race win and started on the second-row of the feature. Peterson landed on the podium behind Robbie Thome and Tyler Nerud in the track's season opener.
